Built for developers who value their tools

Cleat gives you SSH terminals, SFTP file transfer, and connection management in one fast, beautiful application. Buy it once — no subscription, no cloud account, no telemetry. Your connections stay on your machine, exactly where they belong.

Why I built this

I've spent most of my career a few keystrokes from a remote server — SSH into one box, push files to another, jump through a bastion to reach a third. The tools I reached for were either showing their age, locking my saved connections behind a monthly subscription and a cloud account, or asking me to trust that my credentials were only ever sitting on my machine.

None of those trade-offs sat right with me. A connection manager is one of the most personal, sensitive tools a developer owns. It should be fast, it should feel native on the OS you're actually using, and the keys and hosts it remembers should never leave your laptop. So I built the client I wanted to use: SSH, SFTP, and connection management in one app, paid for once, with nothing phoning home.

That's the whole idea behind Cleat — a fixed, trusted anchor on your side that everything connects through. No subscription, no cloud, no telemetry. Just a well-made tool that holds fast.
